We caught up the The Wanderlustings recently to learn more about their adventure. Jewel and Ashley are two friends originally from northeastern Pennsylvania, always up for an adventure, and currently following their dreams to explore the left coast. Catch their interview below and check out a sampling of their beautiful pictures from their journey. You can follow their complete journey @thewanderlustings on IG and thru their blog at @thewanderlustings.com. Thank you ladies for the travel inspiration and for sharing your adventure with us thru your gorgeous pixels!

Tell us a bit about your adventure…

We live in one of the most beautiful parts of the country. We have so many amazing destinations just a stones throw from us. We found ourselves creating a bucket-list of places we wanted to visit in the future. One day we decided there's no better time than the present and starting planning trips to finally see these places. Many people let money or busy schedule restrict them but we have been willing to do what it takes to make it happen!

What inspired your journey…

We've been living in California for 6 years and felt we were missing out on an opportunity to really explore the west coast. We decided to start documenting our travels as a journal. We also wanted to motivate others to get outside!

What were you most looking forward to as you worked towards starting this adventure…

We wanted to find unique places to visit "off the beaten path." We love sharing these experiences with people. It's awesome to hear our followers tell us how they want to plan a trip somewhere after seeing our reviews.

How did your friends and family react as you shared your plan…

They were super supportive and excited for us! Living across the country from our families can be difficult but they keep up with our adventures by following our Instagram and blog.

Have you made any significant life changes to start/accommodate your adventure…

We haven't had a quiet weekend in a while. We've pretty much been weekend warriors hitting the road early.

What has been your favorite moment of your journey so far…

Our trip to Vegas was pretty incredible. Instead of doing "typical Vegas" things like pool parties or clubs, we went to Red Rock Canyon and the Rise Festival. We also stopped at a place called Elmer's Bottle tree Ranch. This man has been constructing this ranch for 15 years and it's incredible. It's so unique that it was a must see for us (pictured below). We want to encourage people to try new things. You can go to a city that you been to a hundred times and still explore which is really exciting.

What have you learned...

Going to some of these awe inspiring places really puts things in perspective. Suddenly your problems seem very small and insignificant. We definitely live life to the fullest and enjoy every part of the journey. We're so grateful we have the opportunity to travel the way we do.

What advice would you give to someone with a similar goal or dream…

It's important to have a no-excuses" attitude. If you really want something, nothing will get in your way.
